Mr. Newman has been a Deputy Prosecutor in Noble County
since 1984, and has also been engaged in the private practice of law during that
time in the law office of Wigent & Newman in Ligonier, Indiana.
In addition to the state courts of Indiana, Mr. Newman is admitted to
practice in the federal courts of both Northern and Southern Indiana.
Prior to joining the Noble County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Newman
served as a Bailiff for Marion County Superior Court 4, as well as a Bail
Commissioner in Marion County. Mr.
Newman is a former member of the Untied States Army Reserves who graduated cum
laude from Washington & Lee University. He is a member of the Indiana State
Bar Association and the National District Attorneys Association.
