CHILD SUPPORT
DIVISION
Description of the program:
The IV-D program was established
in 1975 under Title IV-D of the Social Security Act to ensure that children
receive financial support from both parents.
The Noble County Child Support Division works with Federal, State, and
local agencies to assist parents in establishing paternity and support orders
and to enforce existing support orders.
Who may receive services of the
Child Support Division?
Custodial parents receiving TANF
or custodial parents, who along with a child or children, are receiving Medicaid
services will be required to pursue child support services (the Title IV-D
Program)
Parents who do not receive TANF
or Medicaid are also eligible to receive these services as well and should apply
for IV-D program services if they need assistance with child support or
paternity establishment.
FEES: A one time fee of
$25 is required to start child support efforts for families not receiving public
assistance. There is no fee charged to families who receive TANF, Medicaid /
Hoosier Healthwise.
What services are NOT offered in the
Child Support Division?
The Child Support Division cannot represent you in the
following areas: visitation,
custody, or reimbursement for medical expenses.
To address these matters in the court you will need to retain a private
attorney proceed without legal representation.

Cases in the child support division are assigned to 1 of
the 5 case workers based on the last name of the person ordered to pay child
support. The assignment is as
follows:
